OSRS Monkey Madness 2 Guide

Monkey Madness 2 takes you on a continuing adventure of part 1, where Glough has gone missing and King Nomade has requested your service once again. The quest is a lengthy one so warm your seat and let’s get started!

Requirements

You’ll need to first finish the following OSRS Quests: Recipe for Disaster, Monkey Madness 1, Enlightened Journey, Troll Stronghold, Eyes of Glouphrie, and Watchtower.

You’ll also need the following skills: 55 Thieving, 55 Agility, 60 Hunter, 69 Slayer, and 70 Crafting. Besides that, you’ll need the following OSRS Items too, some of which are obtainable during the quest: Monkey GreeGree, Monkey Talisman, Monkey Speak Amulet, Stamina or Energy Potions, Prayer Pots, Summer Pies, Pestle & Mortar, Lemons, Grapes, and Armor & Weaponry.

Walkthrough

Start by informing Narnode Shareen that Glough has gone missing. Next, head to Glough’s house, which is southeast of the Grand Tree. Now, Climb the ladder up and inspect the tree branch to get a handkerchief.

Go to the Gnome Stronghold now, and speak to Anita (northwest near the staircase). Head back to Glough’s house, and climb up a few times until you see a Gnome Statue. Look for the hidden switch, press it, and grab the Spyology Book from the cupboard.

There’s also a brush northwest of where the creates are so pick that up too. Next, go over the fire remains to get a note. Use Pestle & Mortar on a Lemon to decipher the note. Now, grab a lit candle from nearby, and use it on the note. Use Pestle & Mortar again, but this time on Grapes for the brush you grabbed earlier.

Use it on the note to make a Scrawled Note which seems to be written in Ancient Gnome Language. Grab your Translation Book and use it on the note. Speaking to the King again, followed by Anita who’ll translate it for you, and then finally, return back to the King.

Visit Assistant Lori, who is located south of Glough’s house. Lori will ask you to visit Auguste, who is located in Entrana, who will then tell you about the disappearance of Le Smith. Speak to the King once again and head to Ape Atoll by speaking to Garkor.

Ape Atoll

Head north when your touch down at Ape Atoll. Start moving east now to locate Garkor, who will ask you to speak to King Awowogei. He only speaks to a specific someone called Kruk, so head back to Garkor, who’ll want you to kill Kruk.

Go to the main gate and speak to the Money Archers at the nearby hill. You can track his whereabouts from the bottom of the hill (you’ll be able to see his footprints). The tracks will lead to a trapdoor which serves as an entrance to a dungeon.

Agility Route

If you’re choosing the agile approach, you need to head south. Now, east from there to floors covered with ‘X’ marks. Keep moving forward until you see a room with the tricky ground and a door to the east. Follow the path and it’ll eventually lead to a chest that has a Bronze Key. Use it on the northern door and at the end of the corridor you’ll find Kruk.

Tank Route

If you’re choosing the direct approach, you’ll need to toughen up because there are many enemies and webs to slash. Along the path, you’ll need to find the Combat Damaged Key, which can be used on doors to disable the traps.

Kruk

You need to look out for Kruk’s melee attacks and retaliate when the opportunity arises. Once dead, pick up the dropped paw and head for the exit. Now, to create a Kruk Monkey GreeGree, you’ll need a Monkey Talisman and Kruk’s Paw (which you already have).

We hope you remember the long and boring tunnel in Monkey Madness part 1 because that’s where you have to go now. Get your GreeGree made through ZookNock and speak to King Awowogei in the relevant form.

Satchels

Speak to Garkor, and then use the Trollheim Teleport to get to Troll Stronghold. At the entrance, head down and speak to Kob on your left. You need to fight him until he submits, and then speak to him again.

Go to the Ogre city called Gu’Tanoth and locate Keef. Turn your Protect from Melee on and take him down. Head back to Ape Atoll to speak to Garkor and Le Smith. Now, head west to speak to the Monkey Guard and gain access to an airship.

The objective is to avoid Ninja Monkeys while locating 6 Satchels as you move through the maze. You need to head east, up the ladder, and then southwest to spot a Ladder. Climb down, grab the Satchels, and then head back to the ground floor. Climb the Ladder in front, and then climb the Ladder down to get the explosives.

Click the barrel to fill the Satchels and head back up the Ladder. Use it on the floorboards, go back to the eastern beams on the ground floor, use another satchel, and use the Ladder to head down.

Move along the vines to find the floorboard to your north. Place the satchel there, head back up the Ladder (middle floor), use a Satchel on the gas container, and go back down. Move up towards the boat, go west of the entrance to find support beams, use another Satchel here, and then speak to Garkor.

Go back to where you fought Kruk. Head north from there with your GreeGree equipped (for the monkey bars). Follow the passage ahead to enter Glough’s Lab. Climb on the Stunted Gorilla, and then make your way down the stairs to kill the three Gorillas.

Keep your Protect from Melee on to avoid hits from other Gorillas. Get yourself off of the Stunted Gorilla using the holding area, and grab a Hammer and Chisel from the boxes here. Head upstairs to find a device, use your Chisel on the Charged Onyx, and then use it on the discovered device. Finally, Speak to Garkor, followed by King Awowogei, and then Garkor once again to trigger a cutscene.

Final Chapter

Speak to King Narnode Shareen and inform him about whatever has happened. He’ll ask you to get help from Nieve, who will follow you to the Stronghold Slayer Cave. Once she agrees to help, speak to the King again to know that Squad 10 will handle the situation.

Head northwest of the Grand Tree to speak to Garkor, and then walk through the crash site until your spot a cavern. You’ll come across Demonic and Tortured Gorillas within. You need to fight Glough now and don’t worry about Nieve because she was knocked away by Glough right after.

In the first room, you can look for a safe spot to wait for Glough to move into the next room. Once he’s there, you should try to bring him back into the first room and move along the north wall to eventually find a safe spot. Use Magic or Ranged (long-distance) attacks on him until he makes his way to the final room. If you want a more direct approach here, simply turn your Protect from Melee on and kill him.

Once he’s dead, you’ll find yourself outside the collapsing cavern. Let Zooknock know that Nieve died fighting Glough, after which you’ll be teleported to King Narnode. Once the conversation ends, the quest will be completed.
